GOAL MILE SUCCESS: Shamrock Gaels would like to thank community members and visitors who came out to run or walk in the Community Park on St Stephen’s day for Riverstown’s first ever GOAL mile. Many stayed to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee afterwards. The proceeds of this event totalling €1263, raised through cash on the day and online donations, will go towards humanitari­an aid for refugees of war. Well done and thank you to Shamrock Gaels Healthy club members for making it all happen.

START DATES: Bróga Bríomhar Dance School is now accepting new students and new term start dates for 2024 are as follows: Classes will start in Grange Hall on Tuesday, January 9, in Keadue Hall and Ballintogh­er Hall on Wednesday, January 10, in Morrison Cottage, Riverstown on Thursday, January 11, in the Teeling Centre, Collooney, and St Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurr­y on Friday, January 12. RAMBLING HOUSE: A Rambling House Concert will take place on Saturday, January 6 at 8pm in the Coleman Music Centre, Gurteen. Great night of music & song with a great line up of musicians and singers including Patsy Hanly, Pat Sweeney, Seamus O’Donnell, John Dwyer, Brian Mostyn, Fiachra Guihen, Jason McGuinness with Bean an Tí Caitriona Ni Cheannabhá­in.
