Enniscrone athlete Luke Johnston was part of the Ireland Celtic U-23 men team for last Saturday’s Celtic Cross Country Championsh­ips in Renfew, Glasgow. West Sligo native Johnston is a member of Moy Valley AC, Ballina.

Win a new SEAT Arona thanks to Pat’s GAA

The draw in the St Patrick’s GAA Club ‘Win A Car’ fundraiser takes place this Sunday, January 21. The first prize in this raffle is a brand new SEAT Arona crossover SUV. The second prize is €1,000 (cash), the third prize is €500 and the fourth prize is a hotel voucher (one night B&B plus evening meal). The fifth prize is a One4all voucher worth €200.

Tickets cost €25 each or three for €65 and five for €100. Tickets can still be purchased online through the club’s Facebook page or at local outlets.

Proceeds go towards a full resurfacin­g of the Skreen-Dromard club’s pitch at Seamie Donegan Park in west Sligo. St Patrick’s thank Connolly Motor Group for supplying the SEAT Arona and and Superior Signs, Collooney, are also thanked for sponsoring signage to promote the fundraiser. Conan does his bit for Terenure in Energia AIL

Sligo’s Conan O’Donnell was part of the Terenure matchday squad for the Energia All-Ireland League Division 1A defeat of Dublin University, 26-17, at Lakelands Park last Saturday. O’Donnell, who started on the bench against Dublin University, helped Terenure retain the Energia Bateman Cup on the weekend before last. Dublin club Terenure are currently fourth in the Division 1A standings, with seven wins and three losses from 10 games, while unbeaten Clontarf lead the standings.

McKeon scores a goal against the Rossies

Ex-St Michael’s player Ciaran McKeon scored a goal for London in their 0-21 to 1-9 loss to Roscommon in last Saturday’s FBD Connacht GAA Senior Football League semi-final at the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome in Bekan.
