The death occurred at Sligo University Hospital on January18 of Joe McWeeney, Moygara, Gurteen. native of Killavoggy, Dromahair he and his wife Peggy came to live at Moygara over thirty years ago and soon became part of the Community. He was a great conversati­onalist and enjoyed the chat with neighbours and friends. One of the senior members of the Community he will be sadly missed. His remains reposed at O'Dowds Funeral Home, Gurteen on Saturday evening and were removed to St. Patrick's Church on Sunday for Mass of the Resurrecti­on celebrated by Fr. Joe Caulfield P.P. with burial afterwards in Gurteen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Pegy sons Sean, Dean and Adrian, daughter Anthea and their families. May he rest in Peace.
