Sligo rugby girls win a semi-final replay
SLIGO Rugby Club Girls U-18.5 team contest the Connacht Girls U-18 League Division One final this coming Sunday when they take on Creggs RFC at Dexcom Stadium (formerly The Sportsground) in Galway (1pm start).
This provincial decider is Sligo’s reward for winning last Saturday’s semi-final replay at Heffernan Park, Ballina, where they defeated the hosts 17-10.
Sligo scored three tries against a fullstrength Ballina, with Ellen Hunter (2) and Lauren Hunter crossing the tryline. One of these five-pointers was converted thanks to the book of Eva White.

The curtain-raiser to Sligo’s final is the Division Two decider between Gort-Moniva and Galway Corinthians (11am).
