The Community Park Lotto Draw took place in recent days. The results for January are as follows: numbers drawn 10, 13,18 &24. There was no jackpot winner. The park committee extend their sincere thanks to all who support their monthly lotto. The jackpot continues to grow and sooner or later, it will be won!

PARK LOTTO DRAW:

Every Step Counts Challenge, is for everybody not just GAA club members. Cloonacool GAA is are asking their club and community to come together to reach a steps target between the January 8 and February 12. Clubs have a target to track a combined 4,000km over five weeks by walking or running. All clubs who achieve the 4,000km target will be entered into a €30,000 draw. Our local GAA Club will host their annual 5K fundraisin­g event on Sunday February 25. This is always such a colourful and fun event for our parish, bringing runners, joggers and walkers from all over. Now would be a good time to brush on your fitness in preparatio­n for the event.

Predecease­d by her husband Charlie and sisters Lily, Agnes, Evelyn and Maura she is survived by her daughter Una, sons John ,Patrick, Cathal and Michael, sister Una, grandchild­ren ,daughters-in-law Deirdre, Samantha and Margaret, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to whom deepest sympathy is extended, May she rest in Peace.

The death took place on January 25 at Sligo University Hospital of Patricia Keane (nee Nicholson) Mountirwin, Gurteen.

Mass of the Resurrecti­on was celebrated on Sunday afternoon in the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killavil with burial afterwards in Cloonameeh­an Cemetery. She is survived by her husband Alphonsus, sons David, Paul, Brian and partner Stephanie, sister-in-law Bernadette, cousins Marie, Geraldine, Ann, Mary, Joe and Paul friends and neighbours. May she rest in Peace.
