THE Model has announced a series of exciting events set to the take place at The Mall venue over the coming weeks.

Events will include the latest Late Night gig as well as an Artists’ Breakfast Club and Young Model, details of which can be found below for each event.

ARTISTS’ BREAKFAST CLUB

All art professionals, emerging practitioners and students from any creative discipline are invited to yet another Artists’ Breakfast Club on Thursday, February 22 at 10.30am in The Model.

Artist in Residence Bart Lodewijks will present his current practice, followed by an informal discussion and Q&A on his practice. Lodewijks makes large scale, chalk drawings in public and private spaces.

They appear on building facades and also inside people’s homes and the surrounding streets. The relaxed environment of the breakfast club is a great place to meet, socialise and to get to know other artists living locally.

This event is free and everyone is invited.

LATE NIGHT GIG

Get ready for the next Late Night gig at The Model presenting Sligo's Coastal Movement Collective and special guests Fergus, The Runaway Club and Pandaman on Tuesday, February 27, at 9pm for an ecstatic night on the dancefloor.

Coastal Movement is an events and DJ collective known for bringing unique events and music to Sligo. This time they'll be represented by An RÍ playing some classic UK garage bangers and Nolsey with his blend of speed garage and breaks. Fergus is a techno DJ specialising in laying down heavy hardgroove hitters. He's on the rise in the Galway scene having debuted there and we're excited to have him play in his home town of Sligo. The Runaway Club consists of two DJs coming from Carrick-on-Shannon, Oisin Cullen and Sam Knight. The two have made waves in Galway hosting DJs such as Pagan and we're delighted to have the crew down for their Sligo debut. You can expect to be kept on your toes with some groovy techno and bouncy speed-garage.

Pandaman is an artist hailing from Ardee Co. Louth. He is on the rise having supported other artists such as Tommy Holohan and Fjaak, and having played at Electric Picnic.

This time he will be bringing you a euphoric set to finish off the night, with the bpm rising until the end.

The Model Late Nights are supported by the Arts Council. Subscribe to our monthly newsletter and check out The Model’s website and social media for announcements, event info and ticket sales.
