ACHONRYMULLINABREENA
Our local GAA Club will host their annual 5K fundraising event on Sunday February 25. This is always such a colourful and fun event for our parish, bringing runners, joggers and walkers from all over. Now would be a good time to brush up on your fitness in preparation for the event. Local walkers and joggers, young and old, are welcome to participate in the event.
The new fully accessible entrance at the Community Centre, and facilitating wheelchair access, will be opened in the coming weeks. Poor weather hampered the completion of the project in recent weeks. The new addition will prove very beneficial with regard to disabled access and increased space.
The Community opens at the regular times each weekend; Fri 11am – 2pm and Sat and Sun 10am – 2pm. The café remains a warm meeting place and community hub and each weekend welcomes locals and visitors alike. The café is particularly popular with passing cycling groups, all of whom express admiration for both the café and the village.
