THERE were two individual winners from Sligo at the Connacht Schools Cross Country Championsh­ips that took place at Bushfield, Loughrea, Co. Galway, on Wednesday of last week.

Ursuline College student Ava Colreavy was first in the Minor Girls race and Darragh Mulrooney, representi­ng Enniscrone’s Jesus & Mary Secondary School, was the leading finisher in the Senior Boys category.

The following are the race distances for next month’s event in Dublin: 2,000 metres (Minor Girls); 2,500 metres (Minor Boys, Junior Girls); 3,500 metres (Junior Boys, Intermedia­te Girls, Senior Girls); 5,000 metres (Intermedia­te Boys); 6,000 metres (Senior Boys). 34, 40); 8, Grange Post Primary School 91 points (9, 33, 49).
