LEAP PROJECT EASKEY: HOSPICE FUNDRAISER:

The day for

North West Hospice, held in the Mill Community Café last Saturday, was a resounding success. A constant attendance throughout the morning and early afternoon ensured that the café was busy and that lots of money was donated. At present the amount raised is in excess of €2,000. Contributions can still be made at the café this weekend. Special thanks to all who contributed to the fundraiser; bakers, donors and the café itself.

Thanks to the GAA club also for organising a roadside litter pick for all the roads in our parish a few weekends ago. The litter pick is undertaken as a pre-season team-building exercise by the club but is in fact a great service to the whole community. Countless bags of rubbish were collected. In a perfect world, there would be no litter scattered along our roads. Please encourage best practice by taking litter home for disposal.

Used Clothes Collection. in aid of Cloonacool Community Centre every weekend in March 2024. Items accepted include: Clean Clothes

Note that the times of masses on this day, Sunday 17 March, are changed from the usual times. Cloonacool mass will be at 11.30 on the day and Mass in Tubbercurry will be at 10am. This change is to facilitate the annual 5k road race taking place in Tubbercurry.

The Community opens at the regular times each weekend; Fri 11am – 2pm and Sat and Sun 10am – 2pm. The café remains a warm meeting place and community hub and each weekend welcomes locals and visitors alike.
