RETAIL giant IKEA is branching out into Sligo town next month with the opening of a new Plan & Order store.

The store will open up at The Canopy (formerly Johnston Court Shopping Centre) at 9am on Friday, April 19 and will be the sixth such store in Ireland – not to mention the first in the north west.

Aside from its two main department stores in Dublin and Belfast, the Plan & Order Points are smaller outlets that provide customers with kitchen and wardrobe planning services without having to make their way east and negotiate their way to the planning sections of a busy store.
