SLIGO SOCIAL SERVICES:
Sligo Social Services is looking for volunteers to befriend older people in County Sligo. If you can give an hour a week, they would love to hear from you. You will be matched with someone with similar interests and it's up to you and your new friend how to spend your time together. This is such an important role, especially this time of year when loneliness can be overwhelming. If you this doesn't suit you, you can join the Friendly Call team!
Over the course of 2 hours you make 15 minute calls to your list of recipients. You must use your own phone however.

COMMUNITY MONUMENTS FUND:
Court Abbey has been allocated €30,000 by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under Stream 2 for the development of a Conservation Management Plan/Report. Court Abbey is among just five monuments in the country recently allocated Adopt a Monument Status. A. M. C. E. would like to thank Sligo County Council for their application to the Fund and their support in the conservation of this community monument.

COOLANEY-MULLINABREENA GAA CLUB:
Players from the local GAA team will feature in upcoming county matches. Senior InterCounty footballer Nathan Mullen will feature as Sligo takes on Galway this Saturday at 3.30pm in Markievicz Park in the Connacht
Semi-Final. Conor Johnston and Eoin Barrett have a season deciding match this week against Mayo in MacHale Park, Castlebar, on Wednesday evening at 6.30 as U-20 representatives.
The winner of this group stage will advance to a semi final against Leitrim or Roscommon.
Blue Kidz Academy takes place every Saturday at 10am at Nace O'Dowd Park. The Academy caters to all age groups ranging from 5 to 10. New interest is always welcome. Contact information for every age group is available on the clubs social media channels.
