Fun Run for St Cecilia’s School

A 5K Fun Run and Walk is taking place today, Thursday in aid of an outdoor classroom project at St Cecilia’s School at 6pm.

Late entries are still possible at 5.45pm at The Blue Lagoon where race numbers can also be collected.

Entry is €10 for adults and €5 for children.

The 5K Walk starts at 6pm and the 5K Run starts at 6.15pm.

Refreshmen­ts and prize-giving in The Blue Lagoon afterwards.

Open mic night in Moran’s

An open mic night is taking place in Moran’s Bar, Grange tomorrow night, Friday at 9.30pm.

All are welcome to attend.

Race Night in Tubbercurr­y

A race night is being held in Foley’s Bar in Tubbercurr­y on Saturday at 9pm.

This is a fundraiser for Tubbercurr­y GAA Club.

Bingo in the Avalon Centre

Bingo is back at the Avalaon Centre, taking place every Friday night at 8pm.

Memorial run for Deirdre

A memorial run in memory of Deirdre Staunton will take place in Cleveragh Park at 9.30am on May 18.

All welcome to participat­e.

Record Fair in Yeats building

A Record Fair will take place in the Yeats Memorial Building on Hyde Bridge on Sunday, May 12 from 11am until 5pm.

Entry to this event is free.

Easkey Street Feast

The annual ‘Street Feast’ will be taking place in Easkey on Sunday, May 26 at 3pm in Clarke’s Yard, just off the main street.

Dromore West bingo night

Dromore West bingo night takes place tomorrow, Friday from 8.30pm until 10pm.

It takes place in the Dromore West Community Centre.

Community cafe in Cranmore

The Community Cafe is open every Wednesday from 10.30am-12.30pm in the Cranmore Community Co-Op Society, 10-12

Devins Drive, Cranmore.

All are welcome to come along for a cuppa and a chat.

A food market will take place at Achonry Farmers Market on Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

Trad in McLaughlin’s

McLaughlin’s Bar on High Street in Sligo town is home to a weekly traditiona­l music session every Thursday evening.

Music gets under way at 9.30pm each week.

Market in Rathcormac

A food and craft market will take place at Rathcormac Craft Village on Saturday from 10am until 3pm.

Indoor Market in Enniscrone

The new indoor market in Enniscrone continues this Saturday at the old church building from 11am until 3pm.

Trad session in Earley’s

A trad session takes place in Earley’s Bar every Friday night. The music gets unde way at 9.30pm.

Sligo Park Run in Cleveragh

Sligo Park Run takes place in Cleveragh every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

This is an event designed to promote a sense of community among runners and walkers of all levels - from seasoned veterans to beginners.

Whether you are trying to improve your personal time or just there for the positive influence on your physical and mental health, are all are welcome to take part.

First time runners must register via www.parkrun.ie/sligo/.

Volunteers are also sought to help with the running of the event every week.

Details on how to volunteer can be found via the same website.
