AGRICULTURAL SHOW: GET IN STEP SUMMER CAMP:
Bríomhar Dance School will be holding their Get in Step Summer Camp for Teenagers (13-16 year olds) on Tuesday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 10 from 2pm to 5pm. Cost is
€35 per person. Summer camp for children (4-12 year olds) will run from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, from 9am to 1pm. Cost is €80 per person. Both camps will be held in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown and require a €20 non-refundable deposit to secure place. Booking is essential as there are limited places available. QUEEN MAEVE FESTIVAL:
The Queen Maeve Festival is a new exciting festival of music, culture and family events. It is taking place from 3rd May to 5th May 2024 in the new Queen Maeve Square in Sligo town. DARKNESS INTO LIGHT SLIGO TOWN:
DIL is seeking volunteer stewards/ marshals who can help with our Darkness into Light Event on Saturday 11th May 2024. Volunteers will meet at the Knocknarea
Arena at Sligo IT at 3:10am and will marshal the route until 5 or
6am. Marshals will direct people at junctions, encourage people and hand out water if required. Refreshments will be provided. A very worthy cause.
Gran Fondo Cycling Event is coming to Sligo on the 29th and 30th of Junethey have a number of volunteer roles and need 200+ volunteers.

The Sligo Branch would love to have a Hairdresser and Beauty Therapist to come to wash and style clients hair and also do manicures or whatever you can offer. The clients would love to avail of this and you would be giving your time for such meaningful work.

Sligo Social Services is looking for volunteers to befriend older people in County Sligo. If you can give an hour a week, they would love to hear from you. You will be matched with someone with similar interests and it’s up to you and your new friend how to spend your time together. This is such an important role, especially this time of year when loneliness can be overwhelming. If you this doesn’t suit you, you can join the Friendly Call team!
Over the course of 2 hours you make 15 minute calls to your list of recipients. You must use your own phone however.

Holy Communion takes place in Cloonacool on Saturday, May 11 at 11am. We remember all the children who are receiving First Holy Communion this year and pray God’s many blessings on them and their families at this very special time. Thanks to their teachers for all the work that is being done to prepare them for these days.
Confirmation takes place in Tubbercurry on Saturday, 25th May. Since Bishop Paul will be moving to Dublin that weekend and Bishop Kevin is caught up with other events, the Sacrament will be celebrated by Fr. Vincent, with the permission of Bishop Kevin Doran, our Apostolic Administrator.
Music Classes for all ages and abilities take place in the Coleman Centre, Gurteen – group of one-to-one classes, Fiddle, Flute, Whistle, Mandolin, Button and Piano Accordion, Concertina, Banjo, Bodhran, Guitar (beginners only this term), keyboard. Adult Music Classes are also offered.
