Video Doc plat­form to raise fresh €6m

IR­ISH on­line doc­tor plat­form Video Doc is set to raise a fur­ther €6m in a new fund­ing round to be launched in the first quar­ter of next year.

The com­pany has con­tracts with both the VHI in Ire­land and the NHS in the UK to pro­vide ther­apy ser­vices on­line.

Chief ex­ec­u­tive Mary O’brien said that Video Doc had ben­e­fited from its par­tic­i­pa­tion in En­ter­prise Ire­land and KPMG’S fe­male en­tre­pre­neur pro­gramme, Go­ing for Growth.

Since tak­ing part in 2016, O’brien said the com­pany had gone from zero to 32 em­ploy­ees and had al­ready raised €6m.

Sixty places are avail­able for the next cy­cle of Go­ing for Growth, which will run from Jan­uary to June 2019 and the dead­line for ap­pli­ca­tions is Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 28.

The ini­tia­tive is open to fe­male en­trepreneurs who are look­ing to scale their busi­nesses to join the lat­est cy­cle of the busi­ness de­vel­op­ment pro­gramme.
