“Well, it’s partly be­cause you can get the news in other places,” says Nic New­man, the re­port’s author. “We found some peo­ple said it’s not com­pelling enough, some said the news was too long — what they wanted if they asked for the news was a one-minute sum­mary of the news. De­pend­ing on the con­text, peo­ple wanted a range of things. If you were at home and you asked for the news, you may want a minute, but if you’re out and about in the car you maybe want half an hour.”
