BRUSH UP

Sunday Independent (Ireland) - Life - - STYLE NOTEBOOK -

Achieving a fabulous make-up look is one-part products, one part practice and TWO parts tools. Now repeat that mantra for me, please!

It makes sense, doesn’t it? Even if you have budget-priced make-up, it can still look good and last well if it is applied using good-quality brushes.

The Blank Canvas E30 Double Ended Brow/ Spoolie Brush, below, €7, from www.blankcanvascosmetics.com is my latest, greatest find.

How did I ever manage without this multi-purpose brush before? I now use it every single day.

I use the slanted side with dark-brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows, then I brush them through with the other end, known as the spoolie side.

I also use the slanted side with black eyeshadow to create this season’s winged-eyeliner look.

Like painting on a canvas, you’re only as good as your best brush.
