Sooner or later, we’ll have to get our heads around the new season. This simple look from Brian McFadden’s missus, Vogue, is a good entry point to autumn. There’s no harm in updating your ‘good’ black jeans every season; blue jeans improve with age, black jeans fade to a potentially shabby-looking grey. Vogue’s loose, drapey top is a nice balance to the very fitted denim. Her flesh-coloured shoes have been the shoe of the summer and is still a good bet for an Indian summer. Every woman should have delicate jewellery in her arsenal; it will take a basic white top and jeans to something that Gwyneth Paltrow, queen of stylish design, would wear. Oh, and finding the right shade of red lipstick is a rite of passage we should all attempt.
