Dear Stylemma,

I’m getting married this summer. We are having our wedding on a farm, so most of the time will be spent on grass. So I want flat sandals, as heels will just sink into the grass and I don’t really like wedges. They don’t need to be white — a pale colour is fine, too. But if you could recommend something fairly practical, that also looks nice, it would be great.

Jelly sandals might not be the kind of thing you imagined yourself wearing on your wedding day, but the pale-pink thong-sandal kind can actually look very sweet. And the jelly sandal will stand up to being in a potentially mucky field. Miss KG at Brown Thomas has a pair of pale-pink thong sandals with a bow, only €35; while Dune has something similar for €28. Dune also has a pair of jewelled sliders, €95, that are really lovely.
