TRIONA’S MOST WANTED

Sunday Independent (Ireland) - Life - - BEAUTY -

I’m a terrible interrupter. I don’t mean to be rude, but I just randomly remember things sometimes, and then just get very excited and blurt out whatever it is — in the middle of ‘listening’ to somebody else talking. It drives my friends nuts. Will, who has very good manners, just laughs and says, “That’s my girl”.

So now, I’m interrupting this beauty column to blurt out something. OK, to show off about something . . .

I was at the Alexander Wang 10th anniversary show at NYFW in September, and it was un-freaking real! Tickets were like gold dust, but I managed to get access-all-areas backstage, and then out the front, where the crowd went wild as crazy-loud, stomping music played. Later, a wall opened up and the show then morphed into the after-party, complete with flashing lights, DJs and pole dancers, as well as food and drinks served by Hooters waitresses.

It was full of the hippest peeps in ze world, and only a matte orangey-red lip would do, so I wore my Maybelline Color Sensational Mattes lipstick in Craving Coral, left, €10.59, which is my favourite matte lipstick ever, as it’s the most wearable of these lipsticks.

The clue is in the name — Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks are supersoft but the effect is simply to-die-for.
