Shirt dresses can so of­ten go hor­ri­bly wrong. They some­times curve up at the side like a man’s shirt, thereby fall­ing halfway up the thigh and re­veal­ing too much. Not to men­tion the fact that, so of­ten, they come in a pale-blue, see-through fab­ric that’s best left to the bed­room. Done well though, as above, on model Jo Archbold, they can be the per­fect ‘take you any­where’ out­fit. The key? Keep to darker shades; if you must go lighter, choose khaki. Avoid a ‘just rolled out of bed’ look by pulling your out­fit to­gether with some good ac­ces­sories, as Jo has done, with her boots, belt and bag.
