CAR­DAMOM COF­FEE AND TURMERIC MILK

You will need: 6 green car­damom pods Ap­prox­i­mately 300g (10 ½ oz) freshly ground cof­fee 2 pinches of ground turmeric Milk, to serve (op­tional)

Ten­derly bash open the green car­damom pods us­ing the base of a wine bot­tle or a pes­tle (be­ing care­ful not to scare the be­jay­sus out of the budgie). Mix the bashed-up car­damom into your freshly ground cof­fee and store the mix­ture in the fridge, un­til your caf­feine fangs sur­face. At this point, make your cof­fee as you nor­mally would (espresso, Amer­i­cano, French press, Turk­ish pot). Through a baby sieve, para­chute some ground turmeric on top of your lov­ingly prepared cof­fee. Car­damom cof­fee also tastes gorgeous with warmed al­mond milk or reg­u­lar milk.
