Windies’ women put Bangladesh to sword

HOSTS West Indies made a con­fi­dent start to the de­fence of their Women’s World Twenty20 ti­tle as Bangladesh suf­fered a crush­ing de­feat and recorded the low­est all-out to­tal in tour­na­ment his­tory.

The cham­pi­ons, who were put in to bat first, won by 60 runs in Guyana, with De­an­dra Dottin taking five wick­ets for six runs in 3.4 overs. Bangladesh were set 107 to win but with no bat­ter reach­ing dou­ble fig­ures were out for 46.
