TRIONA’S TRENDS

Want to know the secret to a summery, sun-goddess glow without OD-ing on bronzer and looking like a tanimal? The secret is . . . coral!

Coral brightens the skin and creates an instant summer glow. It creates a natural flush that works with every single skintone, and compliments any sunshine look.

The best part about coral? It can be worn on the eyes, cheeks and lips — and all at the same time, without being overpowering. Tom Ford’s new Contouring Cheek Colour Duo, €67, above left, exclusively available at Brown Thomas, is my go-to product for prettifying! The Contouring Cheek Colour Duo is the new, limited edition of the iconic Shade and Illuminate. The new colourway, Stroked, is like a coral-y bronzer that I use in the hollows of my cheeks — suck in your cheeks when you’re applying it — then I follow it with the highlighter shade on the top of my cheeks.

Elizabeth Arden’s Limited Edition Summer Escape Collection incorporates coral beautifully. In my photo, above, I’m wearing the Pure Finish Cream Eye Shadow, €23, in Sand Dollar 01, above top, which gives a creamy, long-lasting pop of colour. The collection also features Overboard, an iridescent blue, above right; and Anchors Away, a metallic bronze, above.

On my lips this week, above, I have Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge, a waterproof lip colour in Coral, €25. The double-ended tube contains the opaque pigments with a matte finish on one end while the other end has a top coat for extreme shine.

Coral is fab on sun-kissed skin. I didn’t get a chance to pop on my Giorgio Armani Nail Lacquer, €24, above right, in (you guessed it) 302 Coral for my photo, but here it is. Now go glow!
