101 Dalmatians (1996) Channel 4, 4.30pm Live-action comedy remake of Disney’s animated classic, starring Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson. Anita and Roger are brought together by their dogs, dalmatians Pongo and Perdita. The canines soon have a large litter of puppies, which comes to the attention of Anita’s boss Cruella De Vil. She is interested in buying them to turn into a fur coat, but when Anita and Roger refuse, she has the puppies dognapped and it is up to their parents to come to the rescue. the FiFth element (1997) Channel 5, 6pm Sci-fi adventure, starring Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman. The universe is faced by a cosmic evil, and can only be defeated by the Fifth Element given to humanity by an advanced alien race. A group of scientists transform it into the perfect being, called Leeloo. However, she escapes and ends up in the taxi of an ex-military commando and they go on an intergalac­tic journey to stop the evil. However, the sinister Zog has his own plans for her. the terminator (1984) Channel 5, 11.15pm James Cameron’s sci-fi action classic, starring Arnold Schwarzene­gger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn. A resilient cyborg killing machine is sent back in time to 1984 to eliminate Sarah Connor, whose unborn son will grow up to lead the human race in a war against machines. However, she isn’t alone, as a human soldier has also travelled back to protect her.

MONDAY

mission: impossible (1996) E4, 8pm Tom Cruise stars in Brian De Palma’s action-packed reboot of the classic TV show. Secret agent Ethan Hunt and his team are double-crossed while on a mission. He is the sole survivor of a massacre, and, suspected of being a mole, he goes on the run in a bid to clear his name. star Wars: episoDe ii — attack oF the clones (2002) Sky1, 8pm Sci-fi adventure, starring Hayden Christense­n, Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor. Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are tasked to protect Senator Padmé Amidala after she is targeted by an assassin. As Obi-Wan hunts for the culprit, leading him to unravel a plot involving a secret clone army, Anakin and Padmé grow closer. War (2007) Channel 5, 11.50pm Action, starring Jet Li and Jason Statham. FBI agent John Crawford becomes obsessed with revenge after his partner and family are killed, seemingly by assassin Rogue, and the two become entwined in a bloody crime war when the killer is driven to settle a score of his own.

TUESDAY

tWisteD (2004) TV3, 9pm Crime drama, starring Ashley Judd, Samuel L Jackson and Andy Garcia. Up-and-coming police officer Jessica Shepard finds herself entangled in a murder investigat­ion when a number of her former lovers are identified as the victims. She now has to solve the case quickly to clear her name. X-men (2000) Film4, 9pm Bryan Singer’s comic book action, starring Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen. Mutant Rogue goes on the run after her powers cause an accident at home. She runs into fellow mutant Wolverine and the pair soon come to the attention of Charles Xavier, the owner of a school for their kind. However, the radical Magneto has taken an interest in one of them, and will stop at nothing to involve them in his dastardly plot. Anna Paquin and Halle Berry also star. preDators (2010) Film4, 11.05pm Sci-fi action, starring Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Alice Braga. Mercenary Royce wakes up in a dense jungle where he runs into a number of highly-trained killers, including soldiers and criminals. They soon find out that they are not alone, and are being stalked by an alien presence. Topher Grace and Danny Trejo also star.

WEDNESDAY

the FaUlt in oUr stars (2014) RTE1, 9.35pm Romantic drama, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. Hazel meets Augustus at a cancer support group, and the two quickly fall in love. They decide that life is too short, and set out on a trip to Amsterdam in an attempt to enjoy the time they have left together. the a-team (2010) 3e, 10.30pm Action, starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. Four soldiers of fortune are double crossed on a mission in Iraq, involving the theft of priceless money printing plates. Eager to prove their innocence, Hannibal Smith breaks his men out of prison, and goes on the hunt for the men who ripped them off. Jessica Biel also stars. the insiDer (1999) Channel 4, 1am Michael Mann’s drama based on real events, starring Russell Crowe and Al Pacino. Enthusiast­ic TV producer Lowell Bergman suspects that there’s more to the story when Jeff Wigand, a former researcher for tobacco giants Brown & Williamson, refuses to give him an interview. He continues to push hard to find the truth, but he is met with resistance from the company and his superiors.

the three mUsketeers (2011) Film4, 6.50pm Paul WS Anderson’s action adventure, starring Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfadyen and Ray Stevenson. Following a botched mission to steal Leonardo Da Vinci’s airship blueprints, the Musketeers are disbanded by Cardinal Richelieu. They meet young D’Artagnan, who wants to join them, unaware that the team is no more. Together they set out to stop a villainous plot meant to usurp the French throne. the neGotiator (1998) More4, 9pm Crime drama, starring Samuel L Jackson and Kevin Spacey. A skilled police negotiator finds himself at the heart of a conspiracy, accused of corruption and murder. He figures that his only chance at redemption is to stage an elaborate hostage situation of his own, which he hopes will buy him enough time to get to the bottom of things. shalloW hal (2001) 3e, 11pm Rom-com, starring Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow. A womaniser has an encounter with a self-help guru, and is left only able to see a woman’s inner beauty. This new outlook in life leads him to fall in love with his boss’s daughter, who he sees as a slim blonde, but who is actually obese. Jason Alexander also stars.

cliFFhanGe­r (1993) TV3, 9pm Action, starring Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow and Michael Rooker. Mountain rescue expert Gabe Walker is getting over a personal loss when he is sent to rescue the survivors of a helicopter accident. However, little does he know that those stranded are a group of robbers who have just stolen a large amount of money. american pie (1999) ITV2, 9pm Comedy, starring Jason Biggs, Chris Klein and Seann William Scott. A gang of friends are about to graduate from high school when they make a pact to all have lost their virginity by prom night. What follows is a number of gross situations, ridiculous antics and cringewort­hy moments. Alyson Hannigan also stars. Zero Dark thirtY (2012) Channel 4, 12.55am Drama, starring Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton and Chris Pratt. CIA operative Maya is at the head of the hunt for Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden following the devastatin­g World Trade Center attack in 2001 and she faces a decade-long quest to track him down and bring him to justice. Jason Clarke and Kyle Chandler also star.

shrek 2 (2004) RTE1, 6.35pm Animation, with the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. The ogre and Fiona are enjoying married life when her parents invite them to their kingdom of Far Far Away. Shrek and the king don’t get along, and he sets out to prove himself with the help of his old pal Donkey. However, cocky Prince Charming and his mother The Fairy Godmother attempt to find a way to take the throne for themselves. Antonio Banderas and John Cleese also star. the Great GatsbY (2013) RTE2, 9.15pm Baz Luhrmann’s drama, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. Writer Nick Carraway finds himself caught up in his neighbour’s lavish lifestyle when he moves to Long Island, but he soon discovers that there is much more to the man’s life than first appears. Jason Clarke and Elizabeth Debicki also star.
