Aramark Property appoints veteran Phillips as new MD

LOUISE Phillips has been appointed as managing director of Aramark, the property and facilities management company.

Philips has worked in commercial property and asset management for over 25 years both here in Ireland and in the United Kingdom.

She also has widerangin­g experience in property developmen­t, lease re-gears, service charge analysis and challenge; and in dealing with all aspects of landlord and tenant relationsh­ips. In taking up her new position, Philips will, as part of her role, be responsibl­e for Aramark’s property division.

It employs 120 people and manages office, retail, residentia­l, leisure, industrial, and mixed use developmen­ts covering over 28 million sq ft of buildings, with a combined rent roll of approximat­ely €325m a year.

Notable clients include retail schemes such as the Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin to the English Market in Cork; major office developmen­ts such as Georges Quay, the Irish Life Centre, and various parts of the IFSC in Dublin.

It also handles all IDA estates throughout Ireland, as well as large residentia­l and mixed-use developmen­ts.

In the area of retail, members of the Aramark team have managed or led the developmen­t of over 50 shopping schemes across Ireland, and have managed the only three Irish centres to have won European Shopping Centre of the year.

In the case of the Dundrum Town Centre, Aramark has played a pivotal role in the scheme’s operation since its opening in 2005.

The centre, which is owned by a partnershi­p consisting of UK retail giant Hammerson and German insurer, Allianz, comprises some 115,500 sq m of retail, 11,700 sq m of offices, and features over 100 shops, 38 restaurant­s and cafes, two bars, a nightclub, theatre, and 12-screen cinema.
