Jack far from the Madeline crowd in Lillie’s

-

Madeline Mulqueen — sans movie star other-half Jack Reynor — was in Lillie’s nightclub last weekend. The model was in with two girl pals (one of whom was actress Anya Taylor-Joy — she is currently filming the remake of Nosferatu) and they all danced the night away in the VIP library of the famous emporium on Grafton Street last Saturday night.

There was plenty of dancing, too, in Enniskerry two weeks ago, for the very smart wedding of Wicklow interior design goddess Henrietta Bisgood to her longtime partner Peter Winckworth. I had the pleasure of meeting the couple at the fabulous Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort in Wicklow a couple of years ago, where Henrietta told me — as only Henrietta can — that she “used to come to Woodstock House” — now the Druids Glen Golf Club — “when I was a child for New Year’s Eve to the family there. They used to have Old Father Time going out one way and a baby brought in the other. When you arrived, you would put your coat on as you went into the house because it was so cold. Everyone used to hover around the fire and take it in turns. So your parents would come up and go, ‘Move!’”

But back to the Enniskerry wedding of the summer. Guests included Christie’s Ireland representative Christine Ryall, Karl and Jennifer von Matuschka, Donal and Ailish Leavy — parents of Irish rugby international Dan — and Christine Davis. Henny’s brother Edward gave a superb speech while Peter’s daughter Rebecca, a professional singer who toured with Celtic Woman, sang. The hills of Wicklow were alive with the sound of wedded bliss, clearly.
