Award to honour Emma Mhic Mhathuna

Archbishop of Armagh Eamon Martin paid tribute to the late Emma Mhic Mhathuna at a graduation ceremony in Maynooth University yesterday. He said she was a woman of deep faith who studied in the Bachelor of Arts and Theology programme at the college in 201415. “Emma’s courageous and powerful testimony about her terminal cancer during the recent CervicalCheck controversy made such a deep impression right across the country; I am pleased to hear, from the President, of the College’s intention to have an award dedicated to Emma to assist mature students,” he said.
