Shiseido Waso Purifying Peel-Off Mask, €38, Arnotts; pharmacies nationwide

This year, Shiseido added two masks to the original seven-piece Waso line-up, which is aimed at younger skin. Both have benefits for all skin types, however, and this mask is a miracle for literally peeling off any signs of wear and tear, or weariness. It’s an odd metallic-red colour, and tacky to spread over the face, but it dries quickly to a thick, rubbery layer. “The peeling-off is so satisfying,” said one panellist, “but the mask is also true to its promise of shrinking pores and refining.”
