Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen star in Joe Wright’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel. In Georgian England, the lives of five sisters are turned upside down by the arrival of the privileged Mr Bingley and his friend Mr Darcy.

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (2005) ITV2, 5.55pm

The fourth instalment of JK Rowling’s fantasy epic, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. The young wizard returns to Hogwarts to discover that the prestigiou­s Triwizard Tournament is about to commence, and he is one of the school’s representa­tives. Now he must compete in a series of challengin­g and deadly tasks if he is to claim victory.

COUPLES RETREAT (2009) RTE2, 9pm Comedy, starring Vince Vaughn, Malin Akerman, Jon Favreau and Kristen Bell.

Four couples travel to a tropical island retreat at the same time. One is eager to fix their failing marriage. However, the others are in it for the holiday — but get a shock when they find out that the therapy sessions aren’t optional.

INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS (2013) Channel 4, 1am The

Coen Brothers’s music-driven drama, starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman and Adam Driver. A struggling folk musician attempts to make it in the bustling scene that is developing in Greenwich Village, New York, in the 1960s. MONDAY HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (2007) ITV2, 6.20pm

The fantasy saga continues for Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. This time, Hogwarts’s principal Dumbledore is targeted by the Ministry of Magic, which wants to remove him from the position. It’s up to Harry and his companions to figure out a way to prevent this, but they must be careful, as Voldemort’s powers continue to grow.

22 JUMP STREET (2014) RTE2, 9.30pm

Comedy sequel, with Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube. Cops Schmidt and Jenko are back in action, this time posing as students at a local college. It’s up to them to track down the source of a dangerous new drug, but they find themselves getting caught up in the drama of their social lives and studies.

SHUTTER ISLAND (2010) TG4, 9.30pm

Martin Scorsese’s tense drama, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley and

Max von Sydow. A US marshal heads to a remote hospital for the criminally insane after one of the murderers held there vanishes. However, the further he follows his lead, the less sense the case appears to make.

TUESDAY DEMOLITION MAN (1993) ITV4, 10pm

Sci-fi, with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock. A policeman is charged with a crime he didn’t commit, and is sentenced to serve his time cryogenica­lly frozen. However, in the far future, a deadly killer he once took down escapes and goes on a murderous rampage. It’s now up to him to track down his old foe and bring him to justice once and for all.

LEGEND (2015) Film4, 10.50pm

Crime drama, with Tom Hardy and Emily Browning.

Identical twins Ronald and Reginald are notorious figures in the 1960s London criminal underworld. The police are desperate to bring them down, but the brothers always seem to be one step ahead. That is until a personal rift appears between them which threatens to destroy everything that they have built.

WEDNESDAY THE SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL (2015) Film4, 6.35pm

Comedy, starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy and Dev Patel. Business is booming at the Indian hotel, and owner Sonny is planning to open up a second establishm­ent. However, the added workload soon starts to grind him down, and distracts from the important things in life — including his upcoming wedding.

TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997) ITV4, 9pm

Pierce Brosnan’s second outing as super spy James Bond. A vile media mogul is using his money and influence to bring the British and Chinese military closer to war, all so he can profit off the conflict. Luckily 007 is on the case, and off on another whirlwind adventure to stop the villain. Jonathan Pryce, Michelle Yeoh, Judi Dench and Teri Hatcher also star.

THE HEAT (2013) E4, 9pm

Paul Feig’s buddy cop comedy, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. An uptight FBI agent is chasing a promotion, and in order to get it she must take down a notorious criminal. This takes her to Boston, where she is paired with a loudmouthe­d local cop who instantly dislikes her. However, they must find a way to work together if they are to succeed.

THURSDAY HOMEFRONT (2013) Virgin Media 1, 9pm

Action, with Jason Statham, James Franco and Winona Ryder. A troubled former DEA agent relocates his family to a quiet town in search of a new life. However, he soon finds out that it is far from peaceful when he gets caught up in a deadly feud with a druglord.

TED (2012) ITV2, 9pm

Comedy, with Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane. A young boy’s wish that his teddy bear could talk comes true. Years later, they are still best friends, but are underachie­ving slackers. This puts John’s relationsh­ip with his girlfriend Lori at risk, and it’s up to him and Ted to fix it.

DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY (2004) Film4, 9pm

Comedy, starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. Peter La Fleur is the down-on-hisluck owner of a failing gym who goes head to head with a successful, arrogant rival who wants nothing more than to crush the competitio­n. In order to save his business, Peter enters a team into a global dodgeball tournament in the hopes of winning the big cash prize, but he must first defeat his adversary’s squad.

FRIDAY TRUE GRIT (2010) TG4, 9.15pm

Oscar-nominated Western remake from the Coen Brothers, starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld (left). A spirited teenager wants to avenge her father’s murder, so she hires an alcoholic veteran US Marshal to help her track down the killer. The unlikely pair also team up with a by-the-book Texas Ranger, and the trio set off into the Wild West to find their man, facing many dangers along the way.

THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES (2013) RTE2, 11.30pm

Tense crime drama, starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes. The lives of a motorcycle stunt rider and an upand-coming policeman become intertwine­d after the former gets involved in a series of robberies. Both men will do anything to come out on top, setting them on a dangerous collision course.

THE DOUBLE (2011) BBC1, 11.50pm

Crime drama, starring Richard Gere, Topher Grace and Martin Sheen. A US senator is murdered, and all signs point to a Soviet assassinat­ion plot. It’s up to a veteran CIA operative who has been brought out of retirement and an ambitious younger agent to solve the case, which takes them on a dangerous mission.

THE SITTER (2011) Channel 4, 12.10am

Comedy, starring Jonah Hill, Ari Graynor and Sam Rockwell. A college student who is going through a rough patch is talked into looking after the kids who live next door for one night. However, things soon take a wild turn, and it’s up to him to make sure they all survive the night.

SATURDAY RISE OF THE GUARDIANS (2012) RTE1, 6.35pm

Animation, with the voices of Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin and Isla Fisher. Jack Frost must team with the fantastica­l figures that keep children dreaming in order to stop the evil Pitch from covering the world in darkness forever.

WARCRAFT (2016) RTE2, 9.20pm

Duncan Jones’s fantasy epic, starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster and Dominic Cooper. The world of Azeroth comes under siege from an invading Orc army, leaving the humans on the defensive. However, a few Orc eager for peace and a new start may be the key to restoring normality.
