What did your mother make you? Healthy juices — all day, every day. What is the meal you will always remember? Daddy’s fried chicken, and mac and cheese — all that southern comfort food. What was your defining food experience? I haven’t really had one, because I just love all food! What’s the first dish you ever cooked? Spaghetti bolognese and lasagne. What is your favourite comfort food? Daddy’s southernfried comfort food. What is your ultimate hangover cure? A large ice-cold Coke from McDonald’s — and I hate Coca-Cola, so I will never know why. What do you drink? Momma’s green juices, and gin and elderflower tonic on a night out. If you could only eat three things for the rest of your life what would they be? Daddy’s fried chicken; mango and watermelon; and eggs. What is the most appetising smell in the world? Anything being cooked. How important would you say food is to you? My dad’s American — he’s from South Carolina — so food is very important in our family. Especially when we are celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can go anywhere and have anything to eat with any one person. Where, what and who? Where: Pig Island, The Bahamas. What: Anything cooked by my dad. Who: Rihanna. What’s always in your kitchen? Fruit and eggs. What’s your favourite restaurant in Ireland? Yamamori, in Dublin. And abroad? Bojangles, a fast-food restaurant in South Carolina. What’s your sweet treat? Absolutely anything sweet. I have such a sweet tooth. What do you refuse to eat? Peas. Worst meal ever? Anything with peas! What is your guilty pleasure? Avocado with brown sugar and lemon juice. Delish. What’s your signature dish? Cooking isn’t really my forte, but my granddad, Clem, always cooks up a storm. Are you careful about what you eat? I believe pressure is for tyres, so take everything in moderation. Are there any foods you have had to cut out or cut down on that you miss? Dairy, but I don’t miss it. What’s your perfect family meal? It has to be Dad’s cooking — surprise, surprise!
