Peace walk in memory of Lyra McKee

Friends of murdered journalist Lyra McKee started a three-day peace walk from Belfast to Derry yesterday. Hundreds turned out to begin the walk at Writer’s Square in Belfast.

Ms McKee (29) was shot by dissident republicans the New IRA while observing clashes with police in Derry last month. Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody is due to join the walk tomorrow for a rally at Derry’s Guildhall.
