Each year the festival explores different aspects of the life and work of Goldsmith, a novelist, playwright and poet. This year’s theme, which focuses on the writer’s early life as a journalist in London, is ‘Ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no fibs — journalism, news and democracy: Grub Street in the 21st century.’
Head of RTE Radio 1 Tom McGuire will launch the event on Friday at The Rustic Inn in Abbeyshrule at 8pm.
