Travelling to Bloom

Bloom takes place across 70 acres in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, with the festival site situated on the main Chesterfield Avenue road running from the Main Gate at Parkgate Street to the Castleknock Gate. The Ashtown Gate will be closed for the duration of Bloom 2019. Going to Bloom? There are a number of options: Free buses: Courtesy shuttle buses will run from Park Gate Street to Bloom and back, from 8.30am to 7pm daily. Luas: If you are planning to take the Luas, travel to the Heuston stop and then avail of the free shuttle bus from Parkgate Street. Train: If you arrive by train, you can also take a free shuttle bus to Bloom. And with a valid Iarnrod Eireann ticket or Smartcard, visitors can get €2 off Bloom ticket prices. Dublin Bus: The 46a stops at the North Circular Road Gate. From there it is a 30-minute walk to the site. On foot: Chesterfield Avenue is the pedestrian entrance to Bloom. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from either Parkgate Street or Castleknock Gate to Bloom. By bicycle: It’s possible to cycle right up to the Bloom event site, where cyclists can safely park and lock their bikes. By car: Parking is available at a daily rate of €5 and there are two car parks: 1. Red Car Park A: Serving City Centre Traffic from the Main Gate to the

Phoenix Park (Parkgate Street) and the NCR Gate. Once you enter Phoenix Park, follow the signs for the Red Car park.

2. Green Car Park B: Serving both City Centre / NCR traffic North City & M50 Traffic from the Castleknock Gate and White’s Gate. Once you enter Phoenix Park, follow the signs for the Green Car park.

Disabilities & Special Needs

Disabled car parking is available beside the entrance of each car park. Disability parking stickers must be displayed in a visible position to ensure stewards on site can direct visitors to the dedicated parking areas.

One companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visitor with a visual impairment or other person whose disability necessitates a carer.

Shop Mobility will provide wheelchairs for your visit to Bloom for a small deposit in return.

There is no facility to pre-book wheelchairs for Bloom 2019 and we would advise customers who require wheelchair facilities to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Preparing for the Weather

Our fingers are crossed for sunshine this Bloom bank holiday weekend and Bord Bia has set up free water points where visitors can fill their bottles. In addition, there are three acres of marquee covered space to provide shade (or keep out of the rain!).

Additional Bloom Facilities

It is important to note that there will be two mobile ATM points at Bloom located beside the Organiser’s office and within the Food Village. Due to high numbers of visitors, please expect to queue. Organisers recommend that those planning to purchase goods at the show should bring cash with them. WiFi points will be available across the site and these will be clearly marked. Disability toilets, a baby-changing and feeding facility and a medical centre will all be on site and clearly marked on the event map. Customer Care Points: Bord Bia’s Bloom ambassadors will be located at various points throughout the event to help with any queries.
