Radiant Roisin makes Mark on Templederry

-

IT can’t but have been one of the most stylish weddings of the year thus far — given the bride and her credentials. Head of Communications for L’Oreal Ireland, Roisin TierneyCrowe got married in her home village of Templederry in Co Tipperary yesterday. It is a long way to Tipperary but home is where the heart is for bride Roisin, who married beau Mark McCarthy at 1pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. And Roisin was the absolute personification of immaculate, wasn’t she?

This, your diarist can say without fear of contradiction, because the bride wore a creation by Irish-Turkish designer Umit Kutluk at the ceremony in the church, before changing into another work of art in another county... this one created by Israeli fashion designer Pnina Tornai. The latter was worn for Roisin and Mark’s first dance at Adare Manor in nearby Co Limerick, where the wedding was celebrated with no little vigour and despatch last night.

“The dress is from her Love 2019 Collection,” Roisin told me, adding, breathlessly, “and then I’ll do a final switch into a Berta-inspired gown for dancing”. “Don’t judge me!” As if I would? “The boys,” she continued, “are all wearing made-to-measure Louis Copeland designs. Hair is by Zeba’s artistic director Stephen Kelly; and make-up by Michelle RegazolliStone.” Just so you know. As for Mark, who Roisin has been romantically

involved with for six years, the beautiful bride told me: “We’ve been engaged for almost 18 months. So this day felt a lifetime away; now that it’s here I’m obviously delighted to be marrying the love of my life, my best friend, my biggest admirer, and someone who encourages me every step of the way.”

Roisin went on to say that she “couldn’t wait to be surrounded by my family and friends and I have no doubt we’ll have a truly memorable weekend.”

Once the characteristically chic celebrations in Adare Manor wind down — assuming they do, that is — the happy couple are jetting off on a mini-moon to Marrakesh.

Post Roisin and Mark’s Moroccan adventures, their proper honeymoon will be in November, “starting in Hong Kong”.

And knowing Roisin, it could end anywhere from Paris to Milan to... insert your own fashion capital here.
