WEdnESday Catching Britain’s Killers: The Crimes That Changed Us BBC2, 9pm
This new series looks into three murder investigations that dramatically changed how the British police force carry out investigations, beginning with the disturbingly similar murders of two local teenage girls in Leicestershire in 1986.
Van Meegeren: The Forger who Fooled the Nazis BBC4, 9pm
Andrew Graham-Dixon examines the stranger-than-fiction story of Dutch art forger Han van Meegeren, who used his creative skills to swindle millions off unsuspecting customers in Nazioccupied Holland during the height of the Second World War.
