Drive back in time to dodgem days

Sir — Last Sunday’s letter about the Ballyhaunis dodgems brought back memories of the Fun Palace in Bray. I can clearly recall the ‘‘clickety click’’ of the accelerator pedals, as we eagerly awaited the “off ” signal.

Mind you, I imagine driving a dodgem these days might require greater skills, given that most other drivers are likely texting. Tom Gilsenan,
