Newsbrands awards nominations for Sunday Business journalists

THE Sunday Independent business team has secured a number of nominations in the Newsbrands Ireland Journalism Awards 2019.

Business editor Samantha McCaughren and deputy business editor Fearghal O’Connor have both been shortlisted in the Business Journalist of the Year category.

Both journalists are also shortlisted in the Business Story of the Year category.

Donal O’Donovan, business editor of the

Irish Independent, has also been nominated in both categories.

The awards ceremony will take place on November 14.
