Frankenwee­nie (2012) BBC2, 11.30am Tim Burton’s spook-tacular animation, with Charlie Tahan and Winona Ryder. A creative child is heartbroke­n after his dog dies, so he invents a way of reanimatin­g his beloved pooch. However, the process soon leads to some creepy goings-on. Ireland’s Fittest Family RTE1, 6.30pm The latest series of the fitness competitio­n begins as coaches Anna Geary, Davy Fitzgerald, Donncha O’Callaghan and Derval O’Rourke put 15 families through their paces. Presenter Mairead Ronan will be there with some words of encouragem­ent. Seven Worlds, One Planet BBC1, 6.15pm David Attenborou­gh is back for this new globe-trotting examinatio­n of some of the planet’s most fascinatin­g animals. He begins in Antarctica, where the team capture incredible footage of starfish and sea spiders that live in the icy depths.

MONDAY

Who Are You Calling Fat? BBC2, 9pm This eye-opening new series brings together nine obese people as they confront issues to do with their size, including health, body positivity and whether or not they feel pressured to lose weight. Mother’s Day (2016) RTE1, 9.30pm Comedy, with Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson (right) and Julia Roberts. A group of people find their individual lives brought together in unexpected ways on the build-up to Mother’s Day. Timothy Olyphant, Jason Sudeikis and Shay Mitchell also feature. Inside Lehman Brothers — Storyville BBC4, 10pm An in-depth look back at the catastroph­ic downfall of investment banking company Lehman Brothers, as told by whistleblo­wers and employees.

TUESDAY

Men in Black 3 (2012) Film4, 6.50pm Sci-fi comedy, with Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. Agent J must travel back to the year 1969 in order to save a younger Agent K from being assassinat­ed by a vile alien. The Great British Bake Off Channel 4, 8pm Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith give the three bakers left standing their final challenges, as we find out who wins it all. WEDNESDAY

Children in Need: Got it Covered BBC1, 7.30pm A gang of famous faces including Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Colman, David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker record an album of cover versions of songs to raise money for the charity. Guilt BBC2, 9pm This new drama, starring Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sives, tells the story of two brothers, whose lives are turned upside down when they accidental­ly run over an old man. They attempt to cover it up, but it isn’t long before the neighbourh­ood is rife with suspicion. Mary Shelley’s Frankenste­in (1994) BBC1, 11.45pm Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of the timeless horror novel, starring Robert De Niro and Helena Bonham

Carter. Brillianty­et-unorthodox scientist Dr Victor Frankenste­in gives life to an artificial man, only for the creature to swear revenge when its creator turns his back on it.

THURSDAY

Goosebumps (2015) RTE2, 2.45pm Family adventure, with Jack Black. A teenager finds himself on a spooky mission to save his home town after he unwittingl­y unleashes the frightenin­g creations of a reclusive horror writer. Ear to the Ground RTE1, 8.30pm Ella McSweeney, Helen Carroll and Darragh McCullough return for a new series, with this opener including a look at the potential impact that Brexit will have on Irish farmers.

FRIDAY
