The loves of my LIFE

- @kelly_horrigan

“There’s a lot of waiting around involved with my job, so I always have a book on the go”

The person

My boyfriend, Steve. We spend most of our time just laughing our heads off together. He’s the person who really gets me. He’s so ambitious and hard-working, and I’m really proud of him.

The memory

Getting my furry sister, Pippa. My mam decided out of the blue one day that we were going to get a puppy, and before we knew it, Pippa was in the car on the way home with us. She’s cute and fluffy, and I’ve been smitten every since. “My dad gives the best advice and always knows what to say. He is the nicest man alive”

The moment of the day

Getting into bed in the evening with a cup of tea and a few ginger-nut biccies to watch The Office — the US version, of course.

The song

Anything by Celine Dion. Myself and my friend Aaron Hurley went to see her over the summer, and it was a life experience ticked off the bucket list.

The movie

Mrs Doutbfire. A classic movie that never gets old. I’ve probably seen it more than 50 times, and I still think it’s gas.

The book

I recently read The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena, and would honestly read it again and again. I started it on a flight and was finished by the time we got to the hotel. Twisty and riveting — perfect!

The hero

A cliche, but it has to be my dad, Dean. He gives the best advice and always knows what to say. He’s also just the nicest man alive and totally hilarious, too.

The outfit

Jeans and a boyfriend blazer. Dress it up with heels or high boots, or throw on trainers for work — it’s easy, but looks put together. You can’t go wrong!

The taste

Chocolate, it’s delicious and it puts you in a great mood. It’s a win-win.

The accessory

Steve bought me a vintage Dior necklace for my birthday this year — it’s so special to me. I love vintage jewellery because I love thinking of what its story might be.

The model

Tyra Banks. I grew up watching America’s

Next Top Model and always idolised her. Of course she is beautiful and an amazing model, but she’s also an intelligent business woman. The epitome of fierce.

The gadget

My phone, unsurprisingly. It’s like an extra limb at this stage, I just couldn’t be without it. My alarm, my calendar, my connection to the world — it does it all.

The holiday

My second time visiting Mykonos was a dream. We had been there once before so we knew exactly where to go and what to do. I swear I lived there in another life; I just feel so at home when I’m there!

The pet hate

Holding a door open for someone and them not thanking you for doing it drives me mad.

The friend

My mam, Michelle. Our work schedules always seem to sync up, so I get to spend a lot of time with her. We talk about literally everything — nothing is off limits. We get on really really well. I’m lucky to have her.

The beauty product

I never go anywhere without Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer. It instantly makes you look fresh, like you’ve had an amazing night’s sleep!

The piece of advice

Surround yourself with people who inspire you. I’ve spent almost 10 years in a career working with the most creative people.

The hotel

Rocabella in Mykonos, hands-down. Think ‘Champagne in a hot tub on your balcony’ kind of vibes.

The drink

I love relaxing and having a glass of red on the weekend.

The bar

PK in Santorini. The view of the sunset is incredible, the cocktails are to die for, and the service is second to none.

It’s an absolute must, if you ever find yourself in Santorini.

The hobby

There’s a lot of waiting around involved with my job, so I always have a book on the go. I love a good thriller!

The part of my body

My hands, they’re very useful!

The smell

Petrol. I always roll the windows down at the garage to get the full effect.
