Pernille Teisbaek’s Copenhagen

- In conversation with Sarah Caden

For the visitor to my city, Copenhagen,

I would suggest they check into Hotel Sanders, located in the heart of capital. It’s quite a new hotel, with a warm and cosy vibe.

On Friday evening, I’d go straight to Restaurant Pluto

and order a cocktail in the bar while waiting for a table. There is a great buzz, and the best food. Order small sharing dishes and continue the cocktails.

I would start Saturday by going to Apollo for breakfast.

Their blueberry bread is divine. After, I would visit some art, starting with Statens Museum For Kunst; Gluptoteket; and then to Galleri Etage Projects, my favourite gallery.

For a quick bite to eat, I would grab a Gasolin burger,

named as one of the best in the world. Or I’d go to Beau Marche, and enjoy tunasalat with a glass of white wine, and go interiors shopping in their own store. Saturday afternoon would be for shopping in Storm Fashion; Holly Golightly; Rains; Birger Christensen.

On Saturday night, I would go to restaurant Babylon

and order the seafood platter, followed by their amazing pasta. After a drink, I’d go to the nightclub upstairs, where there is a really good vibe.

My favourite Sunday-morning breakfast spot is Granola in Frederiksberg.

It’s a 15-minute drive from the hotel, but they serve the best coffee, and then you can go for a walk around Frederiksberg Garden. Pernille Teisbaek is a stylist and author. She will be at Brown Thomas Dublin for a styling masterclass and Q&A event on Wednesday, October 30. For booking, see brownthomas.com
