Are you listening to what your spirit is telling you?

The human spirit is majestic and powerful. When we take a moment to slow down and connect within, we begin to see the beauty in all of life. We can hold each other in our arms of non-judgment and hold space for differing ways of being, thinking, growth and evolution. We are a species where, at our core, love resides. When we peel back the layers of fear and control, a human heart will awaken and bloom like a flower in springtime. As each petal begins to open towards the light, our own true nature mirrors this magic and begins to lean in towards the light and away from the darkness. This does not mean we deny the darker aspects of our nature — after all, a seed spends time in the deep, dark earth learning everything it can about itself before it emerges into the light, ready for its work above ground.

Just as a plant will come up through a tiny crack in the concrete, seeking the light, there’s an aspect of us seeking the light too. This part of us is looking to grow, evolve and experience more of itself, but to do this we must allow ourselves to expand and take down our guard. Letting down your guard can leave you feeling vulnerable, but the heart will meet that vulnerability with great courage, and hold you as you move through new waters. Allow your spirit to expand; don’t be afraid to grow. Remain curious and open to a new and excited way of being. This is wisdom, because wisdom comes from your soul. Knowledge is learned, but wisdom is the divine prompting within you. The only question is: are you listening?
