Lough Eske safe and welcoming

Sir — I read with interest Peter Vandermeersch’s article on his five-star tour of Ireland, especially in regard to Lough Eske Castle Hotel. Myself and my three sisters stayed there last week to celebrate a special birthday. This was my eldest sister’s first outing since March and she was apprehensive and we were all conscious of Covid and its implications. We were more than happy, not only with our stay but with all the safeguards put in place — hand-sanitiser stations, social distancing and a very high level of cleanliness. The staff were well trained in the ‘new normal’ and we felt very safe and extremely well looked after.

We all agreed we would love to stay in Lough Eske again.
