Trudi’s latest album is a real Keeper...

... AND DANIEL HAS PERFORMED A DUET ON IT TOO

- Daniel O’Donnell Email news@sundayworld.com

KEEP On Keepin’ It Country is the title of Trudi Lalor’s brand new album, and the popular singer has been doing that for decades.

This is a selection of great songs that showcase her style of entertainment, and it includes a duet hit we recorded called I’m Getting Over You.

The album has six original songs written by Trudi’s husband, Billy Morrissey, formerly of The Morrisseys and a brother of Louise Morrissey. They include Trudi’s number one hit, Everybody’s Looking For Love. There are also some stand-out new songs co-written by Billy and his friend Nashville legend Max T Barnes.

SONGWRITERS

Trudi has also co-written a track on it called They’re Gonna Run, which has already gained interest in Nashville among fellow songwriters.

The 13-track album has seven number one songs recorded by Trudi, plus many of her most popular releases in recent times, including I’ll Tell Me Ma, which features the great Mick Foster on accordion.

Blaze of Glory sees Trudi teaming up with her friends Sandy Kelly and Sabrina Fallon, and on the old country/folk classic, Goodnight Irene, she shares the song with her husband Billy Morrissey.

Trudi’s version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow is also outstanding and features the wonderful Macedonian Concert Orchestra with string arrangements by John Byrne.

Listeners will also hear Trudi’s versions of Tammy Wynette’s Stand by your Man and the Kris Kristofferson’s country gospel classic, Why Me Lord?

It’s a lovely album and it shows that not only does Trudi choose songs that suit her voice, she knows what is going to resonate with her audience.

Keep on Keepin’ it Country is out now and available from Sharpe Music, all good record outlets and also available to stream and download across all platforms.
