Zeta-Jones hits the fairways as she arrives in Ireland for filming

- BY EUGENE MASTERSON

MOVIE star Catherine Zeta-Jones has proven she is not only a driving force in Hollywood as she took some time out on an Irish golf course this week.

The Sunday World can reveal the Welsh beauty is currently in Ireland filming for hit Netflix show Wednesday, along with most of the star-studded cast.

And on Wednesday, the actress took some time out of her hectic schedule and enjoyed a stay at the luxurious Glasson Lakehouse resort in Co. Westmeath.

A keen golfer, Zeta-Jones also took to the fairways for a round of golf at the exclusive hotel, just outside Athlone.

While she did not reveal where she was, the A-lister shared a video of her impressive golf swing in less than impressive Irish weather.

“When it blows swing slow! Pissing down and I am still out… must be a Celtic thing,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Catherine was down in the hotel on Wednesday evening,” a source told us.

“She had a round of golf then on Thursday and seemed to really enjoy herself.”

It’s not clear if her movie star husband Michael Douglas is in Ireland with her.

The couple appear to be big fans of the Emerald Isle and only last summer enjoyed a stay here as they took in some of the country’s most popular golf courses.

The celebrity couple, who have been married since 2000, visited Ireland last July and the actress shared photos of their visit to Tralee Golf Course in Co. Kerry.

The pair held their golf clubs as they posed beside a statue of American professional golfer Arnold Palmer, who designed and built the course on the Atlantic coast in the 1980s.

“When Irish eyes are smiling,” the 53-year-old wrote.

“A wee trip to the Emerald Isle to sample the links. Amazing !!!!!! ”

Catherine also revealed that she travelled to Co. Limerick with her other half to visit the exclusive Adare Manor.

Catherine and Michael tied the knot almost 24 years ago and share two children together: 22-year-old Dylan Michael Douglas and 20-yearold Carys Zeta-Douglas.

The 54-year-old plays Morticia Addams in the smash hit Netflix series Wednesday, which was renewed for a second season after becoming one of the most successful shows ever on the streaming platform.

The supernatural horror follows Wednesday Addams – played by Jenna Ortega — based on the character from The Addams Family.

Ortega announced two weeks ago that the cast have begun filing for season two of the show.
