ALL eyes are on the Curragh today, with the Irish 1000 Guineas the focus of everyone’s attention.

The one-mile contest is the second Classic of the campaign in Ireland and a bumper field of runners are expected to take their chance to scoop the €285,000 top prize for connections.

After narrowly being denied in the Newmarket equivalent, Tahiyra claimed the spoils in last season’s renewal.

It was the start of a three-race winning streak at the top level for Dermot Weld’s now-retired stable star.

We will have a new winner this year and as I’m always very kind to Sunday World readers, your Uncle Paddy is here to give you a few steers ahead of the big one at 3.45pm today.

Aidan O’Brien’s Opera Singer is our 9/4 favourite after bagging the Prix Marcel Boussac on the final start of her juvenile campaign.

Fallen Angel (5/1), the only other Group 1 winner in the field, is next in our betting despite failing to land a blow in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month.

It’s hard to look beyond Opera Singer. If everything goes to plan, he should deliver for O’Brien (above).

WE have some epic Classics at Epsom this next week and if these two don’t set your pulses galloping as a racing fan, there is something wrong with you!

First up we have The Oaks on Friday, which was won by Soul Sister and ridden by legendary jockey Frankie Dettori as he claimed his seventh and final victory in the prestigious event last year.

Ylang Ylang is our 9/4 favourite for the Oaks after a staying-on fifth in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Rubies Are Red (4/1) is next in our early betting after placing second in the Oaks Trial at Lingfield and trainer Aidan O’Brien confirmed this was her target.

Then it’s the Epsom Derby next Saturday, with City Of Troy our 2/1 favourite for the Derby after an unbeaten juvenile campaign.

JURGEN KLOPP’S exit at Liverpool last weekend fired the starting gun on what looks set to be the craziest summer of managerial changes in years.

Vincent Kompany to Bayern Munich is one we didn’t see coming and the Chelsea job is also up for grabs after Mauricio Pochettino (left) escaped their madhouse last Tuesday. Leicester manager Enzo Maresca is 13/8 to get the Blues job, with Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna 9/4.

Manchester United may also be looking for a new manager this summer and Pochettino has been quickly installed as 6/5 favourite to land that post, with McKenna 7/2 to get the Old Trafford gig.
