The next Gathering of Old Friends will take place this Wednesday December 9 at 1.00pm in Cluskey’s restaurant for Christmas lunch.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Knockbridg­e Community Christmas Fair takes place this Sunday December 13, from after 11.00am mass up to 4.00pm. Santa will be there from noon to 1.00pm. Lots of stands and stalls displaying all local crafts and Christmas goodies.

ST. BRIDES AGM

St. Brides GFC held their AGM for 2016 in their Clubhouse on Friday November 27, 2015.

Michéal McNally, the outgoing Chairman, thanked all those who helped or sponsored the club throughout the year gone by. Agendas such as Club Membership, Fundraisin­g, Juvenile Football, Finances and Club Developmen­t were discussed.

Officers elected for the coming year as follows: Chairman: Pat Mackin; Vice-Chairman: Anthony Hoey; Secretary: Eugene Kirk; Assistant Secretary: Niall Mackin; Treasurer: Declan McArdle; Assistant Treasurer: Aileen Hoey; P.R.O: Gareth Corcoran; Children’s Welfare Officer: Shane Rutledge; Irish language and Cultural Officer: Joe Mc Kenna; Health and Wellbeing Officer along with Safety Co-Ordinator will be elected by Committee; County Board Reps: Paddy Farrell and Colm Smyth; Players Representa­tives: Alan Meegan and Niall Mackin. SET DANCING

Set dancing classes continue in Knockbridg­e Community Centre from 8.30 p.m. to 10.00pm each Monday night. An invitation is extended to anyone who would like to join the classes. No experience necessary. Classes open to men and women. Admission €6. Further informatio­n from Ann at 9338089.

BINGO

Parish Bingo takes place this Thursday night in the Parish Centre at 8.30pm. Jackpot €2,200 for 45 numbers or less. Please come along, enjoy the game as more players are badly needed.

IRISH DANCING

The World Renowned Scoil Rince Mona Ni Rodaigh dancing takes place in the Parish Centre in Knockbridg­e every Thursday at 4.00pm..
