IMC invest €500,000 on upgrade

IRISH Multiplex Cinemas (IMC) are delighted to announce the unveiling of the brand new ‘Galactic Screen’ in Dundalk following a €500,000 upgrade.

Cinema goers in Dundalk and surroundin­g areas are set to enjoy an enhanced movie experience after IMC cinema group recently invested in upgrading the screens together with further investment next year ahead of competitor­s Omniplex opening in town.

The seven screen cinema has received a full upgrade including installati­on of a state of the art dolby sound technology and an unparrelle­d ‘galactic screen’, together with red leather recliner seats to be installed in advance of Star Wars: The Force Awakens .

The screen employs new technology, which improves light distributi­on and uniformity, providing more light to more seats and the 3D will have a deeper field of view, making pictures more realistic.

IMC Dundalk offers seven screens, including 3D screens, digital projection, luxury stadium seating, free parking and a VIP screen to make for the ultimate cinema experience.

IMC Dundalk also offers gift vouchers, corporate tickets, aswell as running special offers for cinema goers throughout the week, including the launch of brand new deals ‘ Tuesday Treats’- €5tickets all day, ‘ Wednesday Date night’- 2 for €10 and ‘ Thursday combos’-ticket and combo for €10. IMC

IMC are delighted to announce the première of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18th.

It will be the first occasion that the Galactic screen will combine with the state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos sound technology, which features almost 40 speakers in the theatre, including some in the ceiling.
