Remember loved ones with Rotary Tree

-

ONCE again, Dundalk Rotarians are giving people the opportunity to remember loved ones who have passed away with their magnificent Tree of Remembrance in Earl Street.

They are inviting people to write the names of their loved ones on yellow ribbons which are then tied to the beautiful natural Christmas tree in the days running up to Christmas. At the end of the period, the ribbons are taken down.

People are also invited to make a do- nation which all funds collected going to Rotary charities including SOSAD, North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation and The Birches.

Dundalk Rotary Club are also delivering 45 hampers to deserving families so that they can have an enjoyable Christmas.

Rotarians are delighted with the generous response from townspeople since the tree was erected last Friday.

‘We are very pleased with the support we have got so far,’ said a spokesperson. ‘People are always very generous, especially when they know that the money is going to local charities.’

Members of Dundalk Rotary Club will be braving the elements and collecting at the tree, finishing on Christmas Eve so there is still time to support their great work in helping local charities.

The Tree of Remembrance will remain in Earl Street for the entire Christmas period, reminding us all of the true spirit of Christmas.
