Sarah McGivern (née Ward), Ardaghy, Omeath, who died peacefully in Cornwall, England, on 9 December. Predecease­d by her beloved husband Tommy, her parents Patrick and Bridget Ward, and her brothers Phil and Jimmy. Very deeply regretted by her loving sister Margaret, her sister-in-law Biddy ( Ward), and all her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Dixon’s Funeral Home, Maxwell Row, Dundalk from 3.00pm on Sunday, 18 December for friends and family to call. Removal on Sunday evening at 7.30pm to St. Laurence’s Church, Omeath, arriving for Evening Prayers at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday morning at 11.00am. followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Cathal Mulholland, ( The Tool Box), Pearse Park, Dundalk, who died on Wednesday, 14 December at the Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by his parents, Charlie and Clare, sister, Deirdre and brother, Jimmy. Sadly missed by his wife Catherine (nee Waring), brothers and sisters in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and nieces, cousins, wonderful friends and neighbours. Reposing at his residence, Pearse Park, from 12 noon on Friday. Removal on Saturday at 12 noon, proceeding on foot to The Friary Field, then driving to Lakelands Crematoriu­m, Cavan Town for cremation.

Michael Murphy, Dublin Street and formerly Point Road., Dundalk, who died peacefully on 15 December in St. Ursula’s Nursing Home in his 102nd year. 15th December 2016. Micheal, beloved husband of the late Rosaleen (nee McKeever) and dear father of Joan Moran. Deeply regretted by his daughter, grandson Aidan, son-in-law Dermot, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 2pm until 6pm on Friday. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.45am to St Patrick’s Cathedral arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Janie (Jane) Gaskin (née Boyle), Clos Brid, Saltown, and formerly of Toberona, Dundalk, who died peacefully on 13 December, surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by her parents, John and Stella. Very deeply regretted by Brendan, sons Alan and Brendan, daughters Fiona Donnelly, Denise Byrne, Sinead Gaskin and Linda Lindsay, brother John, sisters Geraldine Cosgrove and Ann Rogers, sons and daughters in-law, 16 grandchild­ren, brothers in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the the residence of her daughter, Linda Lindsay, Balriggan, Kilcurry, from 2pm on Wednesday afternoon and from 12 noon on Thursday. Removal on Friday morning to Toberona, then proceeding on foot at 10.45am to Saint Joseph’s Church, Castletown, Fatima, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
