FOROIGE

The local Foroige Club continued on Friday night last in the Community Centre with Kris Kindle night and then on Sunday last, after 10.00am mass there was a Christmas Craft Fair and Bake Sale in the Community Centre. The club resumes on January 13.

Kilkerley Bowls Club will continue each from Wednesday January 11, from 7.45pm to 10.00pm in Kilkerley Community Centre. New members are most welcome to join the club. Best of Christmas wishes to all members.

CHRISTMAS RUN

Locals from area that take part in the Killanny CPR Annual 5K run/walk fundraiser will be happy to hear that it takes place again this year on New Years Day at 10.00am starting from Community Centre in Killanny. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place each Friday from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m.

Please pray for Bishop Gerard Clifford, Kathleen O’Hare, Dromintee, Paddy Lee, Milltown, Charlie McMaster, Belrobin, Damian Reilly, Rathmore who died recently.

From this month, Mass will be celebrated in Knockbridg­e each Friday at 9.30am. except on the 1st Friday of the month when Mass will be celebrated at 7.30p.m in Kilkerley.

The Sacrament of Confirmati­on will take place in Kilkerley on February 17, at 11.00a.m. Archbishop Eamon Martin is scheduled to celebrate the ceremony.

After consultati­on with the parish pastoral councils in both parishes, the following are the Mass times for Christmas: Kilkerley: Christmas Eve Vigil 9.00p.m. (preceded by Christmas Carols at 8.30pm). Christmas Day 10.00a.m. Knockbridg­e: Christmas Eve Vigil 7.30p.m. (preceded by Christmas Carols at 7.00p.m.) Christmas Day at 11.30a.m. Kilcroney School at 8.30a.m. Christmas Day. Please note change of times. There will be a second collection at the Christmas masses for retired priests of the diocese.
